Cegah Penyakit Mpox, Dinkes Kota Tangerang Imbau Masyarakat Kenali Gejala dan Pencegahannya
Kasus penyakit Mpox saat ini tengah menjadi perhatian di banyak belahan dunia, termasuk Asia Tenggara dan tak terkecuali di Indonesia. Penyakit yang mirip dengan cacar ini disebabkan oleh virus yang ditularkan dari hewan ke manusia, dan kini dari manusia ke manusia dan dapat menimbulkan gejala ringan hingga berat.
Pemkot Tangerang melalui Dinas Kesehatan (Dinkes) pun sigap menindaklanjuti penyakit tersebut. Diantaranya, meningkatkan surveilans kasus dengan meningkatkan kewaspadaan di seluruh faskes yang ada. Baik 39 Puskesmas sampai dengan Rumah Sakit, untuk mendeteksi dini bila menemui kasus yang mengarah ke Mpox dan melaporkan kasus tersebut sesuai aturan yang berlaku.
Selain itu, melakukan penyebaran informasi dari pusat dan sumber Kemenkes untuk komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi kepada seluruh masyarakat. Terutama menyampaikan untuk meningkatkan Pola Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) dan termasuk mengimbau untuk menghindari perilaku sex berisiko.
“Pasalnya, dari data yang ada di dunia kasus terbanyak pada laki-laki, usia produktif dengan ODHIV dan beberapa terdiagnosa sifilis. Dinkes Kota Tangerang pun terus melakukan penelusuran dan pemantauan kontak erat menghimbau agar yang terdiagnosa dapat melakukan isolasi untuk mencegah penyebaran lebih lanjut,” ungkap dr Dini Anggraeni, Kepala Dinkes Kota Tangerang, saat ditemui di ruang kerjanya, Selasa (31/10/23).
Kata dr Dini, kurangnya informasi masyarakat dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam mencari pertolongan medis, yang dapat berakibat lebih parah.
“Dengan itu, masyarakat Kota Tangerang diimbau untuk tidak panik dengan penyakit ini, namun tidak juga menganggap kecil, Tentunya, dengan terus mencari informasi, untuk lebih waspada secara pencegahan dan tidak ragu melakukan pemeriksaan saat terindikasi beberapa gejalanya,” katanya.
Sementara itu, berdasarkan informasi Kemenkes RI, Mpox menular melalui kontak langsung dengan ruam bernanah di kulit termasuk saat berhubugan seksual. Selain itu, orang yang berhubungan seks dengan banyak pasangan dan berganti-ganti, berisiko tinggi tertular Mpox. Kelompok risiko utama adalah laki-laki yang melakukan seks dengan sejenis.
Sejumlah gejala atau tanda terinfeksi virus penyakit Mpox;
1. Demam lebih dari 38 derajat celcius, ruam setelah satu sampai tiga hari
2. Penampakan ruam berupa macula, papula, vesikel, pustula. Jenis ruam sama pada setiap fase di semua area tubuh
3. Perkembangan ruam lambat 3-4 minggu
4. Dimulai dari kepala, lebih padat di wajah dan anggota badan, muncul di telapak tangan dan telapak kaki
5. Penampakan khas ialah limfadenopati atau pembesaran kelenjar getah bening
6. Kematian tiga sampai enam persen
Sedangkan pencegahan dari penyakit Mpox, diantaranya;
1. Menerapkan PHBS
2. Konsumsi daging yang sudah dimasak dengan benar
3. Hindari kontak langsung dengan hewan pengerat, marsupial dan primate
4. Periksakan diri dan beri informasi jujur jika alami demam dan ruam menyerupai Mpox
5. Hindari perilaku seks dengan banyak pasangan dan berganti-ganti
6. Jangan berhubungan seks dengan pasangan yang menunjukkan gejala Mpox, seperti ruam bernanah pada kulit
7. Jika mengalami gejala Mpox segera periksakan diri ke puskesmas, klinik atau rumah sakit
